About Us

NDLS offers a seamless service of assessment and treatment/support of neurodevelopmental conditions at any age. Traditional services split children and adults into age categories and are usually treated by different teams. At Psicon, we seek to be experts in the condition across a person’s lifespan. Neurodevelopmental conditions are lifetime conditions and we believe that services to support individuals should be available from a single source whenever and wherever the person requires it.

Our experts in psychology, medicine, psychiatry and speech and language offer support for all aspects of the conditions. We offer face-to-face consultations in Canterbury, as well as via video-conference. It is possible to meet with a whole team of experts at the same time from the comfort of your own home via video-conference.

A multidisciplinary service

Due to the complexity of neurodevelopmental conditions, multidisciplinary assessments are the gold standard method, used to consider individuals from all angles. Our diagnostic assessment services, as well as our support services, draw on the expertise of clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, paediatricians and speech and language therapists.

Our Priority is the Person

All our work is carried out with the person in mind. Whilst we diagnose ‘conditions’, we work with ‘the person’, and all our efforts go into making the individual’s journey with us one that is respectful, insightful and useful. We pride ourselves on the human touch and ensure that every contact with us feels comfortable.

Specialist assessments for education and work purposes

Specialist assessments can be beneficial in the following ways:

Provide recommendations on adjustments that can be made to facilitate an individual’s ability to study or work.

Help universities/employers and individuals themselves to understand their particular needs.

Support applications for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA)

NDLS is a unique service offering assessment and support to people with neurodevelopmental conditions at all ages. We are a multi-disciplinary team of expert clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, paediatricians and speech and language therapists, all with many years of experience working with people who have neurodevelopmental conditions. Our services are available internationally to privately funding individuals. We also are proud to have contracts to supply the NHS in various counties with autism and ADHD services for children aged 2-18, as well as to adults Kent-wide.

NDLS offers diagnostic assessments for autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and intellectual disabilities. A comprehensive, multi-disciplinary team assessment for younger and older people offers the highest standard of assessment. We use the gold standard of screening and assessment questionnaires including the ADOS, DISCO and 3Di for Autism and Connors for ADHD.

NDLS offers support services that include individual and family therapy, medication and speech and language therapy.

NDLS also offers assessments for education and work purposes. This means that a person can be assessed to see how their neurodevelopmental condition might impact on their ability to access their educational or working environment. The team can advise on what types of adjustments might be necessary to facilitate the person’s ability to study or work. This is particularly useful for individuals beginning higher education or going to university as they might qualify for extra funding or equipment.
