Neurorehabilitation at Psicon (NAP)

About Us

Neurorehabilitation at Psicon (NAP) offers a fully comprehensive community-based neurological rehabilitation service.

Clients can access treatment and support from our team of specialists in neurological rehabilitation, comprised of Neuropsychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Personal Trainers. NAP can provide a comprehensive interdisciplinary team service, standalone services (for example just physio) or any combination of services from our constituent disciplines (for example occupational therapy and psychology). We work in partnership with existing NHS providers and case-management organisations.

From inital assessment through to ongoing intervention, NAP’s specialist team can provide a bespoke rehabilitation programme that is carefully considered and defined in relation to each individual’s rehabilitation needs. Our interdisciplinary approach,  maintained through weekly team meetings, enables delivery of the highest levels of support from the whole service. Effective communication with clients, their families and professionals further ensures that individuals are supported to reach optimum levels of functioning.

Psicon have been developing and delivering quality neurological rehabilitation services since 1998, providing much-needed support to individuals with acquired brain injuries and to their families. NAP uses outcome measures and questionnaires in rehabilitation as recommended by the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine. As well as using industry standard measures, NAP engages with patients, families and professionals for service feedback to ensure that our high service-delivery standards are maintained.

Psicon have been offering neurological rehabilitation services in Kent and the South East of England since 1998. Historically, Psicon’s expertise focused on Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology and Medico-Legal services. These services have been offered under the lead of Mr LJ Conradie, Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist and Managing Director at Psicon.

Psicon extended the offering of community-based neurological rehabilitation services and launched ‘Neurorehabilitation at Psicon’ (NAP) in early 2015. NAP was developed under the expertise of Mr LJ Conradie and Mr Hugh Brunkskill, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist. Both have spent many years leading neurological rehabilitation services within the NHS and charitable and private organisations.

Neurological rehabilitation can often require the intervention of many individuals. This can prove to be complex and challenging for both professionals and service users. We believe that Psicon’s broad spectrum of rehabilitation services can offer a “one-stop shop” of superior quality to case managers, commissioners of neurorehabilitation services and private clients. NAP is able to tailor each rehabilitation programme to the specific needs of each individual and ensure all specialists work towards agreed patient goals. This ensures our service is clinically effective and cost efficient.
