  • Mr LJ Conradie

    Mr Conradie is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society, he is a member of the Division of Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology (DoN-member list of Neuropsychologists), the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists and the British Association of Business Psychologists.

    • Mr Conradie’s expertise includes occupational psychology, clinical psychology and neuropsychology, and medico-legal assessments, as well as individual client/patient assessments, treatment and rehabilitation. Mr Conradie also offers consultations to organisations and individuals (executive psychological coaching) on various aspects of psychological issues and advises stakeholders on risk issues. Mr Conradie has been registered as an expert witness to the courts since 2001 and regularly prepares reports in the field of clinical and neuropsychology.

      Mr Conradie’s psychological treatment modalities include CBT and Compassion Focused Therapy. 


      Mr Conradie trained as a Clinical Psychologist in South Africa and registered in the UK in 1988. He worked in a military hospital for two years and worked with soldiers with mental health problems and casualties of war.

      Previous to the establishment of Psicon, Mr Conradie joined the NHS in 1993 and worked as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Consultant Neuropsychologist. He was head of the East Kent Clinical Neuropsychology service (a NHS Service) for ten years where he was involved in the delivery of neuropsychological services and leading a community based multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team.

      Mr Conradie has lectured on various academic programmes including the Salomon's Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Programme as well as at the University of Kent at Canterbury.

      Mr Conradie qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. He is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and on the British Psychological Societies Specialist Register of Neuropsychologists. 

  • Mr Hugh Brunkskill

    Service Lead Neurorehabilitation at Psicon (NAP)

    Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist

    Mr Hugh Brunskill leads the Neurorehabilitation at Psicon (NAP) Service with Mr LJ Conradie. He has extensive experience working in specialist neurological services in both the NHS and private practice. 

    • Mr Brunskill previously led the neurological rehabilitation team at Strode Park foundation in Kent from 2009-2014. During this time, Mr Brunskill worked in conjunction with commissioning bodies and local CCG’s in Kent to develop an outpatient service for the East Kent region. The service provided specialist neurological services to various clients including statutory services and privately funded clients. Mr Brunskill has worked as a Senior Physiotherapist at rehabilitation centres in the NHS, abroad and in private practice.

  • Sonet Strijdom

    Consultant Clinical Psychologist

    Mrs Strijdom is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist of the British Psychological Society. She is registered with the Health & Care Professions' Council (HCPC). She has worked in psychology for 22 years. Her areas of interest and specialty are Neuropsychology and Adult Mental Health. 


    Mrs Strijdom’s experience includes occupational psychology, clinical psychology and neuropsychology. She focuses on individual psychological and neuropsychological assessments, treatment of adult mental health problems and neurorehabilitation. She also offers consultations to adults in the field of autism spectrum disorder.

    • Kizzie Mills

      Occupational Therapist

      Ms. Kizzie Mills is a registered Occupational Therapist and a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists (BAOT).  She works as a member of the Neurological Multi-Disciplinary Team at Psicon and has over 7 years’ experience working in Neurological Rehabilitation both in clinical and community settings.

      • Ms. Mills has over 20 years of experience of working with People with physical and Neurological conditions.  She has worked as part of the Neurological MDT at Strode Park since 2010, providing specialist Neurological input via statutory services and the private sector.  She has a specialist interest in brain injury and working with families and support workers to enable adjustment to and participation in occupation post injury.

      Miss Abbi Rennick is an Assistant Psychologist working within the Neurorehabilitation at Psicon (NAP) service.

      • Tom Nissen

        Specialist Personal Trainer in Rehabilitation

        Tom Nissen works as a Specialist Personal Trainer as part of the Neurorehabilitation at Psicon (NAP) Service. Tom has extensive experience working in multidisciplinary teams and in close connection with Neuro Pyhsiotherpaists, Neuropsychologists and Occupational Therapists. 

        • Tom adopts a people-based approach to training, building his work around individual needs and rehabilitation goals in order to provide individuals with the right support so that they can reach optimum levels of functioning. 

          Tom has an extensive career in the fitness industry. He has been master trainer for a large city centre corporate gym and written and taught instructor training modules. For the last seven years Tom has focused on specialist personal training for a range of rehabilitation demands including physical injuries and vestibular issues, as well as his work with brain injury. He also works alongside psychologists using exercise as part of the treatment for clinical mental health issues.

          Tom has a Bsc Hons degree in Sport and Exercise Science in 2004. He is a member of BASES (The British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences) as well as being Register of Exercise Professionals Level 3.

      • Dr Max Zöettl

        Consultant Psychiatrist

        Dr Max Zöettl is a Consultant Psychiatrist with expertise in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. He practices a holistic approach that integrates medication, talking therapy and lifestyle intervention. He believes in going beyond the acute treatment of symptoms and enabling individuals to learn how to overcome past and present difficulties and lead healthy and emotionally balanced lives. 

        • Dr Zöettl works with a range of conditions including, depression and anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, drug rehabilitation, addictions, trauma, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anger management, obesity, stress, workplace stress, schizophrenia.

          Dr Max Zeöttl obtained his medical qualification in Freiburg, one of Germany’s most renowned medical faculties.

          He completed his training as a psychiatrist in Hamburg and Klingenmünster and his psychotherapist training at the Institute of Clinical Behavioural Therapy and the Heidelberg Psychodynamic Curriculum.

          In Klingenmünster Dr Zöettl established a pioneering treatment centre for opiate detoxification introducing the use of acupuncture, physiotherapy, aromatherapy and psychosocial interventions.

          Dr Zöettl worked in a small mental health unit of a general hospital as well as in a large psychiatric hospital including a forensic wing. There he integrated psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic approaches and studied the forensic implications of Adult ADHD. 

          In 2006 he accepted a post as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHS and became the first Early Intervention in Psychosis Consultant in Kent. In 2008 he became the Clinical Lead for Early Intervention and Rehabilitation Services in East Kent. In 2010 he was chosen as one of the Early Intervention in Psychosis Leads for the South East of England.

          Since 2012 Dr Zöettl has been concentrating exclusively on his private practice. This has given him time to further develop his special interests in Anxiety and Depression, Addiction, Adult ADHD, Obesity and Workplace Stress and Occupational Mental Health.
